Sponsorship News has launched SNSurveys, a new research initiative designed to generate practical, industry-relevant insights for the sports and sponsorship sector.
Led and curated by the Sponsorship News editorial team, SNSurveys asks questions developed to reflect the commercial issues, structural challenges and emerging themes shaping the market. The focus is on asking the questions the industry is already grappling with, but where reliable, comparable data is often missing.
The initiative is built around two core outcomes. The first is benchmarking, providing subscribers with comparative data to help them understand how their organisation, role or structure compares with peers across the industry. The second is the delivery of rapid insights into contemporary themes or situations, allowing the market to quickly sense-check sentiment, responses and emerging trends.
To launch the service, the first SNSurveys project will focus on commercial teams at AFL clubs, examining areas such as team composition, professional experience, career pathways, salary ranges and role structures. The objective is to establish a clear baseline view of how commercial departments are currently resourced and organised across the league.
Data security and confidentiality are central to SNSurveys. Responses are collected securely, handled in line with a defined data security policy, and reported only in aggregated form. Individual responses are not attributed, and no identifying information is shared with third parties. Further detail is available in the SNSurveys data security policy at www.snsurveys.com.au . This focus on security has been a deliberate priority, reflecting its importance to the integrity and long-term success of the project.
Survey findings will be analysed and reported by Sponsorship News, with insights shared with subscribers in a clear, practical format.
SNSurveys is designed to complement Sponsorship News’ existing reporting by adding data-led context and benchmarking to the conversations already taking place across the industry.
Sponsorship News will be in touch with AFL clubs as the first survey is rolled out. If you have any questions in the meantime, please contact matt@sponsorshipnews.com.au.
