Penrite Oil has continued to move beyond motorsport sponsorship by adding the Melbourne Football Club’s AFLW side to a growing portfolio of mainstream sports deals.
The Australian-owned lubricant specialist has become a Major Partner to Melbourne women’s team for the 2026 season.
Its branding will appear on the back of the side’s playing guernseys.
The deal upgrades Penrite’s earlier signing this year with the Demons and its move into rugby league through a Major Foundation Partnership with the Perth Bears announced last month.
None-the-less, it retains a major involvement with Penrite Racing and Grove Racing.
Sponsor CEO, Toby Dymond said, “As Penrite celebrates 100 years in 2026, we’re incredibly proud to strengthen our partnership with the Melbourne Football Club and extend our support to its AFLW program.
“As a family-owned Australian business, supporting our communities and building meaningful, long-term partnerships has always been important to us.
“We’re proud to support the continued growth of women’s football and the opportunities it creates for players, supporters and the next generation.”
Club chief growth officer, Tim Clarke replied, “As a Melbourne-born brand, [Penrite shares] our values and commitment to supporting our community.”
