AOC LOOKS FOR EXPLANATION ON TAX RULING

In reaction to the High Court ruling involving athlete Joanna Stone covered earlier this week, the Australian Olympic Committee (AOC) has stated that it will now seek a set of guidelines from the Australian Tax Office (ATO) because the ruling has left athletes unsure of what amount of sponsorship they could accept before becoming liable to pay tax on all their earnings.
