Gold Coast builds reputation as sports tourism destination with Rugby Sevens win
By securing the rights to host the Australian leg of the HSBC Sevens World Series Rugby tournament, the Gold Coast has boosted its credentials as a sports tourism destination and given its bid to host the 2018 Commonwealth Games additional steam, according to John O'Sullivan, head of Queensland Events.
